‘May the 4th Be With You’ Returns to Danville
DANVILLE – All Star Wars fans who are strong in the Force are invited to join the Town of Danville on Friday, May 4, 2018 to celebrate the third annual May the 4th Be With You event.
Starting at 11:00AM, stop by the Danville Community Center to pick up a free scavenger hunt card and start looking for famous Star Wars characters at participating downtown Danville businesses. The first 100 participants to complete the hunt will receive prizes from a galaxy far, far away!
Young padawans are encouraged to learn the ways of the Jedi on the Town Green from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Tickets are currently sold out for this portion of the day, but tickets are still available for other activities (see below).
Stop by the Village Theatre to see the newest addition to the Star Wars universe, Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Shows are: 1:00-3:30 p.m. or 7:00-9:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 general admission and can be purchased by calling (925) 314-3400 or visiting www.villagetheatreshows.com.
Grownups can continue the celebration at the Star Wars Cantina Crawl! Jedi Masters, ages 21 and over should pre-register at www.danvillerecguide.com with activity code #16676 to receive a wristband and a pint glass at the Danville Senior Center good for discounted drinks and food at participating restaurants. All participants will be entered to win a raffle basket full of Star Wars prizes! Cantina Crawl discounts will be available from 6:00-9:00 p.m.
Costumes are strongly encouraged at all activities throughout the day. May the 4th Be With You t-shirts will be on sale for $10 per shirt at the Danville Community Center.
