Police Arrest Registered Sex Offender for Lewd and Lascivious Acts During Guitar Lesson

SAN RAMON – Police arrested a known sex offender after he allegedly committed lewd and lascivious acts with a juvenile during a guitar lesson.

On Thursday, investigators with the San Ramon Police Department received information regarding lewd and lascivious acts during a child’s guitar lesson at a residence.

Detectives were immediately assigned to the case and identified registered sex offender 69-year-old Rex Bell of Vallejo as the suspect.

Bell was arrested Thursday afternoon for nine counts of lewd and lascivious conduct with a minor under 14, with prior sex conviction enhancement and two counts of sex offender violations.

Police say Bell advertises private guitar lessons on his website, guitarconfidenceDOTcom and investigators are concerned there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward. Investigators urge anyone with information to contact the San Ramon Police Department.
