Alcosta Blvd closes after two vehicle collision injures four Sunday afternoon
SAN RAMON – Alcosta Blvd was shut down in both directions for several hours following a serious traffic collision that left four injured.
At around 2:50 pm Sunday afternoon, Paramedics were dispatched to a report of a serious vehicle accident with at least one victim trapped on Alcosta Blvd.
First responders arrived at the scene and located four patients that needed medical attention as a result of the two vehicle collision.
One person was reportedly trapped inside a vehicle and had to be removed by paramedics. At least three ambulances transported patients to local trauma centers.
Another victim was airlifted to John Muir Medical Center by a CHP helicopter, equipped with advanced life support.
San Ramon Police Department’s traffic investigation team responded to the scene to investigate the collision.
Alcosta Blvd was reopened at 8:50 pm Sunday.
