Armed suspect flees with prescriptions after robbing Danville Walgreens
DANVILLE – Police are investigating a robbery that was reported at Walgreens on San Ramon Valley Boulevard Wednesday morning.
According to Police Chief Allan Shields, a male suspect walked into the Walgreens store in the Town and Country Shopping Center at around 8:08 am and proceeded to the pharmacy counter. The suspect displayed a pistol and handed the clerk a note demanding prescription medicine.
The suspect received an undisclosed amount of prescription drugs before he grabbed various other items from the store and fled in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described as a white male, wearing a surgical mask, gray zippered sweater and a dark beanie cap.
No suspect was located, despite a search with a San Ramon Police canine near the location.
