The Weekly Drama is an overview of Police/Fire incidents (newsworthy or not) that took place in the San Ramon Valley during the week, but never made news headlines.
Sunday, July 10th
[San Ramon] 3:00 PM – San Ramon Police officers (including one off-duty officer) provided live-saving assistance to a victim of a cardiac arrest at Club Sport. Firefighters transported the man to the hospital; he survived. Read more.
[Danville] 11:30 PM – Vandals use bread, peanut butter and jelly to smear parked vehicles in Diablo Highlands. Read more.
Monday, July 11th
[San Ramon] 2:00 PM – Police responded to a report of juveniles attempting to steal a golf cart from the San Ramon Golf Club. Officers caught up with the alleged suspects.
[San Ramon] 7:30 PM – Firefighters extinguished a small grass fire behind a residence near Dougherty Road.
[Diablo] 10:00 PM – CHP received multiple reports of juveniles throwing eggs at unsuspecting civilians near the Diablo Country Club.
[Danville] 10:30 PM – Police investigated a report of juveniles on the roof of Charlotte Wood School.
[San Ramon] 11:00 PM – Firefighters transported an intoxicated female found on the ground near 7-Eleven. It’s unknown if the issue was related to an overindulgence of Slerpees during the July 11th (7/11) free Slurpee day.
Tuesday, July 12th
[San Ramon] 6:00 PM – Firefighters and police responded to a report of a vehicle accident on Japonica Way. They arrived and found a vehicle on its roof. There were minor injuries. See picture.
[San Ramon] 7:00 PM – Firefighters were called to a local community pool where a male juvenile had gotten locked inside a women’s restroom. It took firefighters nearly an hour to free the boy. His friends documented the incident via a video.
Wednesday, July 13th
[Alamo] 6:00 PM – Safeway loss prevention reported the apprehension of two shoplifters during a one hour period.
[San Ramon] 7:30 PM – Officers were involved in a foot/paw chase with a lost dog on Bollinger Canyon Road. They were able to keep it away from traffic.
Thursday, July 14th
[Danville] 12:00 AM – Police were called to investigate a group of juveniles causing a disturbance. Upon contacting the group, an officer discovered they were playing the “Pokémon Go” mobile app game.
Friday, July 15th
[San Ramon] 7:00 PM – Firefighters responded to aid a child who had experienced a “near drowning” incident at a pool on Ivy Hill Way. A helicopter landed in a nearby field to airlift the child to a hospital.
Saturday, July 16th
[San Ramon] 10:30 AM – San Ramon Valley Firefighters responded to aid a child who became unresponsive inside a dentist office on Deerwood Road. A helicopter was dispatched, but was canceled when the child was declared deceased.
[San Ramon] 10:30 AM – Officers responded to sort out a neighbor dispute because a resident was flying a “drone” over anther (unhappy) neighbor’s house.
[Danville] 11:00 AM – Police were dispatched to a report of juveniles throwing water balloons at unsuspecting citizens walking on the sidewalk.
