Weekly Drama: January 2017 – Week Three
The Weekly Drama is an overview of Police/Fire incidents (newsworthy or not) that took place in the San Ramon Valley during the week, but never made news headlines.
Monday, January 16th
[San Ramon] 3:00 PM – Suspects accused of shoplifting toilet paper and Dove body wash from Safeway evaded officers on I-680 at speeds of over 75 MPH. One of our Twitter followers added that it was a “clean” getaway.
Tuesday, January 17th
[San Ramon] 3:00 PM – Two suspects were placed in custody in a backyard of a nearby residence after an officer witnessed them flee from Safeway with stolen alcohol. One subject had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
Wednesday, January 18th
[Danville] 4:00 PM – A local man was arrested at his home after witnesses reported seeing him crash into a tree on Camino Tassajara and flee in the damaged and smoking vehicle. The vehicle was located near Pet Food Express in Danville.
[Mt Diablo] 4:30 PM – Firefighters responded to aid State Park Rangers after a rock slide was reported on South Gate Road. They were canceled upon arrival.
Thursday, January 19th
[Danville] 11:00 PM – Deputies placed a suspect in custody after they were dispatched to a report that subjects in two vehicles threw bottles at and caused damage to an Alamo Creek security vehicle.
[San Ramon] 5:00 PM – Detectives arrested two individuals associated with a stolen vehicle parked near Home Depot.
Friday, January 20th
[Danville] 4:00 PM – An individual was arrested for an outstanding warrant after a witness saw him enter the backyard of a residence on La Gonda Way.
[Danville] 5:00 PM – Officers and paramedics responded to a report of a vehicle accident with major damage on Camino Tassajara. A juvenile occupant was rushed to the hospital.
Saturday, January 21th
[Danville] 7:00 PM – Officers were dispatched to a report of a possible residential burglary after a resident witnessed a suspect run out of the garage of a residence on El Capitan Drive. Despite a search of the area, the suspect was not located and it appeared there was nothing missing from the house.
[Danville] 11:00 PM – Police investigated two burglaries. One was at the ARCO gas station.
Sunday, January 22th
[Danville] 12:00 AM – Officers were called to the Danville Bowl after someone reported multiple subjects were in a physical altercation outside the location. Officers detained one person, but all three people associated with the incident were evaluated and released by paramedics.
[Danville] 12:30 AM – Police responded to aid an Uber driver who reported that he was being harassed by two intoxicated male subjects whom he had dropped off at the Post Office on Camino Tassajara. They reportedly attempted to flee by calling another Uber, but officers located them before they could leave. No arrests were made.
[Alamo] 12:00 PM – CHP officers responded to reports of a vehicle accident on I-680. The driver had reportedly fallen asleep at the wheel and hit the guardrail but did not sustain any injuries.
[San Ramon] 8:30 PM – Firefighters responded to a report of a big rig with two tractor trailers on fire on I-680 near Alcosta Blvd. The fire was extinguished.
