Weekly Drama: February 2018 – Week One
The Weekly Drama is an overview of Police/Fire incidents (newsworthy or not) that took place in the San Ramon Valley during the week, but never made news headlines.
Wednesday, January 24th
[San Ramon] 3:00 PM – Police were called after an intoxicated subject was seen knocking on vehicle windows and displaying his middle finger after he was refused an alcohol purchase at Walgreens. He was arrested.
[San Ramon] 6:30 PM – Officers responded to multiple reports from citizens describing a door-to-door salesman that was possibly under the influence. One caller said it appeared the salesman could not articulate what he was selling. He was not located.
[Danville] 10:00 PM – Officers contacted multiple juveniles seen driving recklessly in the parking lot of Monte Vista School.
[Diablo] 10:00 PM – Paramedics were called to the scene of a solo rollover vehicle collision on Diablo Road near Alameda Diablo. One occupant reported a minor injury.
[Danville] 11:00 PM – A local resident was placed in custody after citizens reported that an intoxicated subject was dancing and flipping off citizens behind Meenar Music Club. He was also found to be in violation of probation terms.
Friday, January 26th
[San Ramon] 11:00 AM – An elementary school was placed in lockdown after a fleeing suspect crashed into a residence, then fled the scene.
[San Ramon] 1:00 PM – Paramedics were dispatched to a report that a vehicle collided with a nail salon in Diablo Plaza. The occupant(s) were uninjured.
[Danville] 6:30 PM – Paramedics were dispatched to a report of a four vehicle collision on I-680 near El Cerro. There were no reported injuries.
[Alamo] 9:30 PM – Paramedics were dispatched to a rollover vehicle collision on Stone Valley Road near Monte Vista School. The driver was uninjured but took to Twitter, calling witness reports that described the vehicle driving at a high rate of speed prior to the collision “Fake News.”
Saturday, January 27th
[San Ramon] 1:30 PM – Paramedics were dispatched to a report of a rollover collision on Crow Canyon Road. There were no injuries.
[Danville] 6:30 PM – Police contacted multiple groups of juveniles reportedly seen driving recklessly in Monte Vista and Los Cerros school parking lots. One caller reported seeing one vehicle towing an occupied couch.
Sunday, January 28th
[San Ramon] 4:00 PM – Police received a call from a citizen who believed a the operator of a “drone” flying nearby was using the aircraft to watch him bathe in his backyard hot tub.
[San Ramon] 4:30 PM – Police arrested a subject in a Warriors shirt who was seen running in the Lucky parking lot threatening to fight passing citizens. He was the same subject who was arrested after displaying his middle finger to citizens at Walgreens on Wednesday.
Monday, January 29th
[San Ramon] 8:30 PM – Firefighters extinguished a box that was on fire on the back porch of an apartment building on Reflections Drive.
Wednesday, January 31st
[San Ramon] 6:30 PM – Paramedics were dispatched to a report of a four vehicle collision on Bollinger Canyon Road near I-680. Minor injuries were reported.
Thursday, February 1st
[San Ramon] 6:30 PM – Police received a call from a citizen reporting suspicious subjects dressed in Comcast shirts attempting to sell DIRECTV subscriptions.
Friday, February 2nd
[Alamo] 8:30 PM – Deputies responded to a report of a physical altercation in front of Safeway. The suspects fled on foot; deputies contacted a victim at the scene who did not need medical attention.
[Mt Diablo] 12:00 PM – Rangers responded to a report of an aircraft crash near Curry Point. They located a pilot, who had minor injuries.
