Danville PD canine team apprehends Oakley burglary suspect Sunday night

OAKLEY – Danville Police Officer Neabeack and K-9 Aik apprehended a residential burglary suspect during a Sunday night search.

At around 9 pm Sunday, Oakley Police officers responded to a report of a residential burglary attempt on Kings Canyon Way near Sierra Trail Road in the City of Oakley, eastcountytoday.net reported.

When police arrived, officers observed several suspects fleeing from the residence. Officers were able to apprehend one suspect after a foot chase, but two other suspects escaped police into the surrounding neighborhood.

Danville Police and Pittsburg Police canine teams were asked to respond and assist with a search for the outstanding suspects.

During a search of the area, Danville Police K-9 Aik apprehended a second suspect in an open field near Sellers Road.
