Danville Police to host the next round of ‘Coffee & Cocoa with the Cops’
DANVILLE – Danville residents are invited to come out over the next two months for some Coffee & Cocoa with the Cops. Officers with the Danville Police Department will be out in the community as a way of continuing to build on the community/police partnership.
Police Chief Allan Shields said the program is a great way for residents to sit down and chat with police in a friendly atmosphere.
“We look forward to this opportunity to meet with our community in a casual setting,” Shields said. “So often, a person’s interaction with police is in a stressful situation. This gives the community the chance to know us outside of that framework.”
Dates and locations for the upcoming Coffee & Cocoa events include:
8/8 7:00 AM Peet’s Coffee Danville – 435 Railroad Ave
8/25 7:00 AM Christy’s Donuts – 436 Diablo Rd
9/26 5:00 PM Sideboard – 90 Railroad Ave
10/24 4:45 PM Danville Library – 400 Front Street
In addition to the Coffee & Cocoa events, the Danville Police Department is planning an Open House at 10:00 a.m. on September 16, 2017, and will resume the Recess with the Cops program once school is back in session.
