Deputies Investigating Armed Carjacking in Alamo Parking Lot
ALAMO – A woman was carjacked by a man reportedly brandishing a handgun in the CVS parking lot Monday afternoon.
At around 2:30 pm, the Sheriff’s Office received a call from a woman’s husband reporting that his wife had been carjacked in the Stone Valley Shopping Center on the 3100 block of Danville Boulevard.
Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the victim, who stated approximately 15 minutes earlier she was sitting in the driver’s seat of her vehicle with the door open when the suspect forced her out of the car at gunpoint.
The suspect, a man reportedly in his early 20’s, displayed a black semi-automatic handgun and drove away in the victim’s vehicle, which also had her cell phone inside.
Deputies were able to track the vehicle to Castro Valley, where the signal stopped pinging. The vehicle was not located in spite of an extensive search.
According to authorities, the vehicle is a white colored, convertible, 2-door, 2015 Porsche Boxster with California license plate – 7JEE656.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office.
