Driver arrested for DUI and child endangerment after San Ramon collision

SAN RAMON – Police arrested a driver after a solo vehicle collision on East Branch Parkway Saturday night.

At around 10:00 pm Saturday, paramedics were dispatched to a report of a vehicle versus tree collision on East Branch Parkway near Windemere Ranch School. Bystanders initially had difficulty locating any occupants or victims involved in the collision.

Officers and a Contra Costa Sheriff’s helicopter arrived at the scene and located an alleged driver inside a bathroom at the school. Initially, the driver was uncooperative with officers and requested to use the restroom.

The driver was placed in custody for DUI and child endangerment after an investigation at the scene. A juvenile occupant was also transported to the hospital for minor injuries.

The vehicle involved in the collision is reportedly registered to an address in east Danville.
