Elderly couple in heavy clothing prompts school lockdown Friday morning
DANVILLE – Diablo Vista Middle School was placed in a short lockdown Friday morning after a caller reported seeing suspicious subjects near the campus.
At around 10:20 am Friday, police received a call from a citizen reporting two subjects wearing ski masks and heavy jackets on Lawrence Road near Camino Tassajara, adjacent to Diablo Vista Middle School.
Police placed the school in lockdown while they responded to the scene. Officers arrived, searched the area, and located an elderly couple matching the description of the suspicious subjects. Police say the two were wearing heavy coats and ski masks due to cold temperatures.
The lockdown was lifted around 10:30 am.
