Firefighters Extinguish Attic Fire at Danville Condominium

DANVILLE – Firefighters extinguished an attic fire in a Danville condominium structure on the 700 block of Garden Creek Place Saturday morning.

Just before 6:30 am Saturday, the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District received just one report from a passerby reporting smoke coming from the roof of a condominium structure on Garden Creek Place, just off of El Cerro Blvd.

Arriving firefighters found light smoke coming from the roof of the building; further investigation uncovered a fire in the attic.

El Cerro Blvd was closed in both directions for a period and firefighters extinguished within ten minutes.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
