Firefighters extinguish second brush fire in west San Ramon in less than 24 hours
SAN RAMON – Firefighters battled a vegetation fire in the same area as Sunday’s fire in the area of Crow Canyon Road near Bollinger Canyon Road.
At around 2:14 pm Monday, firefighters responded to multiple reports of a vegetation fire in the area of Pradera Way in west San Ramon.
Firefighters arrived and made access to the fire. County strike team 2870c along with air, dozer and engine resources from CAL Fire were also requested to the scene. A dozer from Alameda County also responded to the scene.
Firefighters also worked to protect houses on Pradera Way while police evacuated some homes in the area. A helicopter from East Bay Regional Parks District dropped water on the fire until more resources arrived.
At 2:45 pm, firefighters had a containment line around the fire.
Police are investigating the fire as suspicious.
