Four suspects arrested after laptop snatched from Alamo Starbucks customer
ALAMO – Two adults and two juveniles are in custody after allegedly snatching a laptop from a Starbucks patron.
At 2:42 pm Saturday, the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a strong-arm robbery at Starbucks in the 3200 block of Danville Boulevard in Alamo.
Three people had reportedly taken a laptop that was being used by a female customer inside the business, then fled in a waiting vehicle, according to Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Jimmy Lee.
During the investigation, deputies gathered a description of the suspect vehicle, which was seen fleeing on Danville Boulevard.
Soon after the incident, an Orinda Police officer spotted the vehicle traveling westbound on Highway 24. Officers stopped the vehicle and detained four people, who were positively identified as the suspects by a witness. Officers located the victim’s laptop inside the vehicle and returned it to the owner.
The four suspects were arrested for robbery, burglary and conspiracy. They are 19-year-old Nequwan Taylor from Oakland, 18-year-old Isaiah Taylor, and two juveniles whose names are not being released.
They were booked on robbery, burglary and conspiracy charges with $220,000 bail. The juveniles and adults were taken to Juvenile Hall and Martinez Detention Facility, respectively.
