Identity Theft Suspects Arrested After Costco Robbery in Danville
DANVILLE – Two suspects were arrested after stealing a purse and using the victim’s credit card at a store in Broadway Plaza Walnut Creek.
At around 5:45pm Saturday night, Danville Police received a report from a citizen reporting a strong-arm robbery in the Costco parking lot on Fostoria Way.
The victim said a suspect forcefully stole their purse and fled in a white SUV driven by another suspect. The purse reportedly contained the victim’s car keys and credit cards.
A short time later, the victim was notified that their credit card was used at a store in Walnut Creek’s Broadway Plaza. Officers with the Walnut Creek Police Department were notified and quickly identified the suspects nearby.
One of the suspects reportedly attempted to flee from officers when contacted, but both suspects were taken into custody. Police located the victim’s credit cards and ID cards from other possible victims in the suspects’ possession.
Both suspects were transported to jail by Danville Police.

Good work WCPD and DPD! Word will travel among the crooks and thugs that you will get some alone-time in a cell if you try to victimize our residents. Now if we could only find the will to elect a DA who will prosecute we’d have the problem under control in weeks.
