Man Brandishes Gun to Rob San Ramon Restaurant Monday Night

SAN RAMON – A man reportedly brandished a firearm to rob a Subway restaurant in San Ramon Monday night.

At around 8:20 pm Monday, officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at Subway on the 9100 block of Alcosta Boulevard.

The suspect, described as a man in his 20’s, allegedly displayed a black handgun in his waistband and demanded cash from an employee.

Officers deployed a canine to search for the suspect, but no suspects were found.

The incident is the second robbery of a San Ramon business in less than a week. Last week, a man was caught on surveillance video robbing a San Ramon gas station.
