Police arrest four juveniles on felony charges after Saturday flare gun incidents
SAN RAMON – Four juveniles were arrested Sunday night in connection with flare gun incidents in San Ramon neighborhoods during Saturday night and Sunday morning.
After an investigation into the incidents, which were recorded by multiple home surveillance systems in the area, detectives seized the Ford Taurus that was used in the commission of the crimes. Authorities say they found 12 gauge flares inside the vehicle during a search Sunday night.
Police say three of the juveniles in custody are from San Ramon, one is from Danville and their ages range 15-16 years old. All four were booked into Juvenile Hall in Martinez for multiple felony counts of: shooting at an inhabited dwelling and conspiracy.
Detectives found that seven residences were shot at by the suspects along with numerous vehicles. It is believed the victim homes and vehicles were randomly chosen and not specifically targeted.
San Ramon Police say their “Citizen’s View Camera Registry Program” assisted detectives with their investigation.
According to an independent source, the suspect vehicle was located in Danville Sunday night.
