Police looking for armed suspect after Walgreens heist in San Ramon
SAN RAMON – A suspect used a gun to rob a San Ramon Walgreens of prescription medication Wednesday morning.
According to police, at approximately 8:03 am Wednesday, a man entered a Walgreens store at 21001 San Ramon Valley Blvd and walked to directly to the pharmacy. Authorities say the suspect placed a black semi-automatic handgun on the counter along with a note demanding Buprenorophine, a prescription opioid typically used to treat pain opioid addiction.
The suspect fled on foot with a over $300 of Bupenophine in multiple bottles.
Police say the armed suspect is a man 20-30 years old, 5’07”-5’08”, weighing 190-200 pounds. He was wearing a blue surgical mask over his face, a grey beanie, dark sweatshirt, black pants, and white shoes.
