San Ramon Man Arrested For Sexually Assaulting Lyft Driver

Police were dispatched to a report that a female Lyft driver had been sexually assaulted by an intoxicated male passenger at roughly 10:30 p.m. Wednesday night.

According to San Ramon Police, the intoxicated male rider made several sexually suggestive comments toward the Lyft driver during the ride, which originated in San Ramon. The victim told the suspect to stop but, the suspect continued his advances and ultimately sexually assaulted the victim.

The victim pulled into a shopping center parking lot off of Alcosta Blvd, ordered the suspect to get out of her vehicle, and then immediately called the police. Officers responded and located the suspect while he was urinating in the shopping center parking lot.

The victim positively identified Peter Edward Voss (a 28 year old San Ramon resident) as the man who sexually assaulted her. Voss was placed under arrest and booked at the county jail in Martinez for violations of Penal Codes 243.4 (Sexual battery) and 647f (Public intoxication).
