San Ramon Police Investigating Accident After Woman is Struck by Vehicle on Village Parkway
SAN RAMON – A pedestrian was transported to a local trauma center after being struck by a vehicle on Village Parkway near Walmart Thursday evening.
At approximately 6:40 pm Thursday, officers and firefighters responded to a report of a vehicle versus pedestrian on Village Parkway near Elmwood Drive in San Ramon.
Upon their arrival, firefighters found a victim, a 51-year-old female, unconscious after being struck by a vehicle and sustaining a head injury.
The victim was transported to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek for treatment.
The driver of the vehicle that struck the victim remained at the scene. The driver’s parent was also at the scene.
In a photo provided to Danville San Ramon Updates on Twitter, it appears the accident occurred near a marked crosswalk that runs perpendicular to Village Parkway.
Northbound Village Parkway at Kimball Avenue remains closed as San Ramon Police Department’s traffic team investigates the accident as a possible fatality.
