Suspect Arrested In Friday’s Residential Burglary in Danville Released From Custody
DANVILLE – A suspect is outstanding, and another was arrested after a home was ransacked during a residential burglary in unincorporated Danville Friday afternoon.
At around 1:30 pm Friday, deputies with the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a suspicious circumstance at a residence on Creekview Place in the Wendt Ranch neighborhood of unincorporated Danville.
The caller in the area reported seeing several unfamiliar subjects looking inside the residence, ringing the doorbell, and attempting to open doors. The caller later observed a subject changing into a black hoodie.
Upon arrival, deputies located an open rear door to the residence. With the assistance of Danville Police officers, deputies set up a perimeter and confronted a suspect who attempted to flee the residence via the front door.
Assisted by a Pittsburg Police K9 unit, deputies secured the building, which appeared to be ransacked. No additional suspects were located. However, deputies believe an outstanding suspect was also involved in the burglary. No residents were at home during the burglary.
The suspect, Sou Saeturn, 34, of West Sacramento was booked at the Martinez Detention Facility for first-degree burglary. According to public records, he had several outstanding warrants during his arrest. He later posted $50,000 bail and was released from custody on Saturday.
